Repair Cafe this Saturday – Brightling, East Sussex – village website

The next Repair Café is this Saturday 20 April in Robertsbridge Village Hall 9am-midday (last items being accepted at 11.45am).  Items take time to be repaired, so please don’t leave it until the last minute.

We have our normal band of volunteers to help with electricals, sharpening, clocks, woodwork, bikes, but we only have 2 people this time in the sewing area.  They are normally very busy so please be aware that they will only be able to take 1 item from each of you and may not be able to help if they are inundated. If you could help out as a very occasional sewing volunteer we would love to hear from you.

In addition to our normal repair services, this year we are also focussing on other items that would normally go to landfill.  We have teamed up with two organisations – Peep and Tools With a Mission to collect old specs and old tools.   At our last Repair Cafe we were pleasantly surprised to receive 48 pairs of glasses to send off to Peep, and an assortment of usable tools for TWAM.   Please keep both coming!
