Brightling Café will be open in the village hall for tea, coffee and delicious cake this coming Saturday 29th April 10am-Noon.
Tara from Thistle Cottage Flower Farm will be there with bunches of spring flowers.
Judy from Asselton Cakes will be selling her homemade cakes, savouries and preserves.
There will be a Bring & Buy Plant Sale in aid of Brightling Flower Show. The cold nights and lack of sunshine have made life difficult for gardeners this year but, if you are potting up seedlings or dividing your perennials, we would love to have any surplus. The joy of this annual event is that we can only sell what you bring and we never know what will turn up! Usually there are some wonderful surprises. However we do know there will be some sturdy tomato plants of several varieties, peppers, perennials, succulents and herbs. If you have any surplus plant pots we will be happy to recycle them for you by using them for next year’s plant sale. Any queries, contact Vanessa Everett on 01424 838402 vanessa@lhfarm.co.uk
Something to sell? If you paint, knit, weave, craft, decorate, make cards, candles, produce honey or grow veg why not sell your wares at the café. There is no charge. No cakes please as that’s Judy’s domain. Just email Katrina with details so we can get a table ready: katrinablench@hotmail.com
There is always a craft or activity to occupy children, and if the weather is fine they can play in the garden, so do bring them along with you.
Please come and support the Plant Sale and the Café.
