Walking Brightling’s Byways: “Fields, lakes and views” Wednesday 26 June starting at 6:00 pm – 4.7 miles – Brightling, East Sussex – village website

An announcement from Katrina Blench

Starting from TN32 5EY. Everyone welcome.

The second of the “Brightling Byways” walks is a loop of 4.7 miles and will go past the old iron making industry in the woods of Socknersh, alongside the lakes, before crossing over the ridge at Oxleys Green, into the adjacent valley, and then up to Hunters Farm with views across to Darwell reservoir. After a short bit of lane walking the return is through Mountfield Park Farm and Sizzes Wood.
I’m hoping it will be a perfect summer evening walk and should take just over 2 hours but with refreshments offered at The Water Tower and Fern Hill it may take a little longer.

All welcome. Phone or email for details of where to meet at 6pm.
