A message from East Sussex County Council:
We’d like your views on how councils and services should be provided in East Sussex in future.
The Government wants to reorganise things so that everyone gets their services from just one council. This could mean a single local authority replaces the county council and the five district and borough councils in East Sussex.

Please do have your say in the public consultation which has been opened by all six councils here.
The Government guidelines suggest a single authority for East Sussex could be the right size and be simple and efficient. But other proposals might be considered if they get strong public and government support.
There are no immediate changes to services. You’d elect a new council in 2027, to start work in 2028.
