The High Weald Walking Festival is a collaboration between a number of local branches of The Ramblers and the High Weald AONB Partnership. Now in its fourth year, the Festival aims to help both visitors and residents explore and learn about the historic High Weald landscape. Participants will be led by experienced and knowledgeable guides from a range of organisations with a passion for the countryside, including the High Weald AONB team, RSPB, National Trust, CPRE and Forestry Commission. Last year’s festival was a ‘virtual’, self-guided event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but this year we are delighted to be able to offer guided walks once again.

How to book: This year we are running a simple booking system to manage numbers and keep everyone safe. Check out the walking programme on the Festival website and click ‘More info & book’ to go through and reserve your space. The process is quick, easy and – most importantly – every walk is free.

We will also be offering a number of downloadable, self-guided walking routes throughout September, so you can explore the breath-taking beauty of the High Weald at your own pace.
