An annoucement from Linda Lewis

“Christmas Tree, Candles & Crib”

The traditional carol service will be held in St Thomas a Becket church, Brightling, starting at 6:00 pm on Thursday 19 December.

After the service mince pies & mulled wine will be served at Brightling Village Hall (kindly provided by the Village Trust)

Remember your loved ones, friends or pets by writing a message to hang on our tree over Christmas & New Year

Organist’s note: There will be 11 carols, starting with Once in Royal David’s city and finishing with Hark! the herald-angels sing. All are well-known except possibly one: See Him lying in a bed of straw, also called the Calypso carol. It is a very catchy tune and if you listen in advance to the video below you will find it easy to join in on the night.
