Brightling Village Hall open for phone charging, wifi calling, coffee, even cooking – Brightling, East Sussex – village website

An annoucement from Nicola Magill

During the present power cut in Brightling, the Village Hall is open. There is a power pack (in the kitchen) which can be used to charge phones (bring your own charger and just plug it into the power pack).

You can also make phone calls using the Village Hall’s wifi (which is working) even if your phone shows no signal. You can either use Whatsapp calling (which uses wifi anyway) or set up your phone so that normal calls use wifi when available. Set up wifi calling using Android; set up wifi calling for Apple devices.

The gas cooker in the kitchen can be used for making coffee, even cooking.

The hall is open so just help yourself.
