An announcement from Katrina Blench
There have been three Byways walks this year 2024 – circular routes along the footpaths and bridleways of Brightling Parish.
An afternoon in April through Great Wood looking at ancient trees and iron works and picking wild garlic; a glorious evening in June along lakes, into neighbours’ gardens, meeting a rescued pony and ending with wine; and a morning in October tracing the monuments Jack Fuller placed dramatically in our landscape.
Dipping in and out of conversations as we walked with new and old friends through fields, woods and lanes exploring our byways has been lovely. Others will be arranged for 2025 and everyone is always very welcome. Thanks to everyone who walked. Katrina
