Rother District Council is currently consulting on its Draft Local Plan. The Local Plan sets out how Rother District could develop and change up to 2042. This includes where new homes, jobs, facilities and infrastructure may be located. The public is invited to take part in the Local Plan Consultation which is now open and runs until 23 March 2026.

Although Rother District Council is currently set to be replaced by a new unitary authority by April 2028 the Council is committed to finalising the Local Plan before that transition
