In response to the Climate Emergency, Rother District Council are working with Energise Sussex Coast to train volunteers who want to help others to bring down their energy bills, save energy and reduce emissions.

The sessions will also provide participants with an introduction to Community Energy – collective action to reduce usage, purchase, and generate renewable energy. Energy Champions often go on to set up projects such as thermal imaging for homes, solar streets, and hosting energy workshops. Ongoing support for such initiatives is provided by Energise Sussex Coast and RDC.  

The training is free to attend and is split across two sessions. The first is an in-person training day at Town Hall, Bexhill, on Thursday 27^th July, 10.00-16.30. This will be followed by a 2.5hr online session, date tbc.
