Please do come and join other Brightlingers at our Annual Parish Assembly on Monday 11th April, starting at 7:30pm in the Village Hall. There will be free refreshments (both soft drinks and the other kind) and nibbles and we aim to make it a bit more of a social occasion. Recognizing that not everyone is interested in everything, rather than have each village organization read out its report, instead we are going to make the reports available as written leaflets so that you can just look at the ones that interest you. It is an opportunity for organizations to recruit volunteers/participants/players etc and generally publicize themselves. We will make all the reports available on the village web site (qv).
I will give a brief (5 minutes max, I promise) “state of the parish” summary but the other main attraction of the evening will be the presentation and discussion of the emerging Parish Action Plan, created by Bill Vorley, Caroline Croft and David Gasson based on the questionnaires that people completed recently. I won’t say too much about this because Bill is writing about it elsewhere in the Messenger but I do urge people to come and engage in a discussion about what we want to see for the future in Brightling.
